In the current market, there are many manufacturers of LED neon strips , and the materials of LED neon strips selected are roughly divided into three types.
1. PVC modified material, hot melt injection molding, hollow cube.
Advantages: LED neon strips produced from such materials have relatively low cost and low price.
Disadvantages: But the luminousness is poor (only 50-60%), and the material is easy to UV yellowing, and the working life is generally 1-2 years.
2. Silicone material, hot melt injection molding, solid cube.
Advantages: Compared with PVC modified materials, this kind of material greatly prolongs the working life, up to 3-5 years. The light luminousness has also been improved to a certain extent, reaching between 60-70%.
Disadvantages: Due to the material of the silicone material, it is easy broken when bent at a large angle. In the process of molding of the silicone material, the temperature can reach 250 degrees Celsius, which may damage to the lamp chip or the circuit solder joints.
3. PU glue (A+B), two kinds of glue liquid are mixed and solidified, solid cube.
The neon strips produced from PU glue , have the same working life as silicone material, but they have more advantages :
(1) Luminousness increase 20%；
(2) Flexibility increase 30% ；
(3) More skin-friendly；
(4) Better quality, best price；
(5) solid filling than hollow tube, higher waterproof grade, IP68>IP67 ;
(6) Liquid molding , well-distribution of materials , the color temperature and the light distribution more uniformity ；
(7) There is no secondary heat high temperature, and will not damage the LED strip.
